Self Care Charter
Seeking your input for the development of a Charter for self-care
Lived Experience Australia (LEA) is undertaking the development of a CHARTER for the Australian Self Care Alliance (ASCA), and we are currently seeking input from a diverse range of health consumer groups on what could and should be included. This work is underpinned by the Alliance’s initiative ‘Self-Care for Health: A National Policy Blueprint (October 2020) which can be seen at https://www.selfcarealliance.org.au/policy-blueprint This provides a framework for action to achieve integration of self-care across Australia’s health system.
The aim of the CHARTER is to contain principles to use in a national approach, language, and advocacy, by consumer focussed/chronic condition advocacy related organisations.
We have distilled the feedback from focus group consultations, and people now have the opportunity for broader input through a short survey as part of the process of finalising the CHARTER consultation.
The survey will be open until the end of this year, to provide the best opportunity for wider consultation.
