Learn more about genomic profiling and precision oncology
What: Omico webinar
Time: 1pm to 2pm
Date: Thursday 18 July
Precision oncology is transforming the way cancer is treated. Using comprehensive genomic profiling, you could be matched to a targeted therapy based on the molecular make-up of your cancer.
Omico is a not-for-profit organisation accelerating access to precision oncology, and running a national initiative called PrOSPeCT (Precision Oncology Screening Platform Enabling Clinical Trials). It aims to provide free comprehensive genomic profiling to 23,000 Australians with advanced or incurable cancers, or early diagnosis of poor prognosis cancers.
Omico is hosting a webinar to help you understand more about genomic profiling and precision oncology, including what it can offer, what’s involved, and insights from someone who has experienced genomic profiling and targeted treatment.
You’ll hear from Omico Chief Science and Strategy Officer, Professor David Thomas, and Head of Cohorts, A/Professor Mandy Ballinger PhD, as well as Beth Ivemy, a registered oncology nurse diagnosed with bile duct cancer two years ago.
