From Australian Genomics – public involvement in genomic research.
Involve Australia’s Guidelines for Community Involvement in Genomic Research have now been released.
The guidelines aim to encourage genomic researchers in Australia to involve community members effectively and meaningfully in co-designing research projects.
Many researchers want to involve community members in their projects, but sometimes lack the knowledge on how to do this in an effective way that meets the needs of the community.
You can access the guidelines via the link below. In addition to the guidelines, the Involve Australia webpage features a number of supporting documents such as a quick guide infographic, guiding questions for researchers, and a report on the stakeholder consultations.
