NHMRC Review of Statement on Community and Consumer Involvement in Health and Medical Research
The National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF) have begun a review of the Statement on Community and Consumer Involvement in Health and Medical Research (2016). NHMRC and CHF held an online workshop on 15 November 2022 which was attended by some 193 participants which included consumers, advocate groups, advisory groups, researchers, research institutions, universities, and policymakers from all over Australia.

The Statement on consumer and community involvement in health and medical research (The Statement), co-authored by the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) and the Consumers Health Forum of Australia (CHF), aims to guide research institutions, researchers, consumers and community members in the active involvement of consumers and community members in all aspects of health and medical research.

For those who could not attend the workshop on 15 November, these questions were posed during the workshop and provide an opportunity to give feedback to the review of the Statement. can provide feedback to guide this review.
